compression members in steel structures INTRODUCTION ➡️ Compression member ऐसा member होता है जिस पर दोना तरफ से दवाओं बल लगता है अतः ऐसा member जो सम्पीडन बल को लेता है सम्पीडन अवयव कहलाता है | यह member सीधे होते है इसमें bend नहीं होनी चाहिए उसमे   अपूर्णता नहीं होनी चाहिए | जैसे colum , ( सम्पीडन बल  = ऐसा बल जो member को दबाने का प्रयाश करता है सम्पीडन बल कहलाता है ) types of compression members  ➡️   Colum - इस member में axially load लगता है  post - यह लकड़ी का colum ही होता है  struts - यह एक प्रकार का compression member होता है  truss - यह member चित्र में है  Column की effective length  ➡️  colum में दो निकटवर्ती शून्य आघूण बिन्दुओ के बीच की दूरी column की effective लम्बाई कहलाती है effective length , column के end पर निर्भर करती हैं |  slenderness ratio ( तनुता अनुपात )➡️ यह किसी column की buckling को बताता है अतः जिस column की slenderness ratio ज्यादा होगा उसकी buckling उतनी ज्यादा होगी  (effective le

Tension Member INTRODUCTION Tension member ऐसा member होता है जो axial x-x में खिचाव बल को लेता है अतः ऐसा member जिस पर x - x  पर खिचाव होता है उसे तनन बल कहते है तथा जो अवयव उसे लेता है तनन अवयव कहते है  TYPES OF TENSION MEMBERS MINOR TYPES OF TENSION MEMBERS Threaded bars-    यह ऐसा bar होता है जिसके दोनों सिरे पर चूड़ियाँ होती है | उस bar में जो चूड़ियाँ होती है उसमें उभरे भाग को creast कहते हैं और दवा हुआ भाग root कहलाता है इसमें root का cros-section area, bar के cros-section area से कम नहीं होना चाहिए | इसका net area और root का net area एक ही होता है इसमें end का जो area होता है वह bar के c /s area का 20 % अधिक लिया जाता है  Eye-bars- इस bar का निर्माण करने के लिए हम एक bar लेते है उसके दोनों सिरों को चपटा कर उसमे hole करते है फिर bolt की मदद से उसका उपयोग करते है इसका उपयोग उस स्थान पर किया जाता है जहाँ  Flexible end  connection   की आवश्कता होती है|       Welded bars- इसमें एक चपटी पत्ती को दो प्लेटो में weld की मदद से जोड़ा जाता है इसका उपयोग उस स
